So I’m back to blogging. Not as often as I used to, but at least I’m back. Stuff that prevents me from tapping away on WordPress is stuff like…work.
Last week I got to interview Monte M. Moore, an illustrator who specializes in sci-fi and fantasy, gaming, pin-up and entertainment illustration. As a commercial illustrator, he is an officially licensed Star Wars artist for Lucasfilm Ltd., Sony Online, Playboy, Topps Cards, DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and more. He’s a cool guy, easy to talk to, and it’s always motivating to meet somebody who is actually making a living at their art. He’s also done some awesome paint jobs on custom motorcycles and won lots of awards. You can check out my article and the cool bike Bombshell here, if you’re so inclined. You can also check out Monte’s work at his own website, Maverick Arts, by clicking on Luke and Princess Lea.
Thursdays are just sick now that Survivor is back and Heroes vs. Villains! I’ve missed these people I call “my old friends” and can’t contain my crazy excitement at seeing them, while Buck sits back and tells me to stop yelling before the neighbors think he’s killing me. Because yes! During last week’s premier I was screaming and shouting at the TV like there was a hockey game going on. The problem is I’m torn between cheering on Boston Rob, who’s on the Villain tribe, and Rupert Boneham, who’s on the Heroes tribe. Ugh. It makes me scream. On the bright side of this quandary, I have the chance to once again post a photo of me and Rupert at the Cincinnati V-Twin Expo.
Rupert, FYI, is one of those rare people who said if they had a million dollars they’d use it to better the world…AND HE DOES! You can check out Rupert’s Kids by clicking on me and Rupert. Don’t we look happy? Doesn’t it look like we’re dancing?
And for anyone who only comes to this blog to see Stella, here she is, Buck’s little princess. Hey, does anyone remember when the Interweb snagged Stella and Photoshopped her into a political article? That was hilarious. But here she is in real life. I took this photo last Sunday.
Hi Stella, tell your mommy that my mommy says hello and she will call her soon. I wish that you and I lived closer and we could have a play date. No one would be able to tell us apart. All the other chihuahuas will be jealous of us because we are the prettiest princesses EVAH. Oh, and tell your mommy and daddy that I’d really love to see more pics of you. I’ll tell my mommy the same thing.
Bye now.
Lily
Welcome back to BlogWorld Wendy. Missed you.
I DO remember the Stella PhotoShop incident. I’m still certain that the Bush Administration had something to do with it, along with the bin Ladens. Sasquatch knows. And your buddy George Noory. 🙂
Welcome back Wendy!
I am kind of in a similar mode to you, life can get crazy!
PS: Stella’s eyes KILL me with all that cuteness
PPS: OMG, you met Rupert! 😀
Being a Star Wars nerd, I know who Monte M. Moore is. How exciting! I read your article, and I’m jealous, but in a good way. I wish I had balls enough to try and get paid for my writing.
Stella looks a little demonish in those photo. I love it.!
Hi Honey, how the heck ahr ya? What are you reading these days? 🙂
Miss your blog posts … hope you’ll be back soon.
What? No screeds about Boston Rob getting booted? I expect just a little more from you, young lady!
As you know, my girlfriend makes me watch Survivor so I’m up with the lingo. She also has me DVR it then make sure it’s On Demand just in case. She watches it the first time then goes over it the next day like the Zapruder film,
“Did you see that? Russell smirked back and to the left. Back and to the left.”
I have to say, for people with experience, there has been no lack of bonehead moves.
I’ve been tits up and taking water myself. The only reason my sites been slogging along is because of backlog. I haven’t been able to read much at all from anyone. I had some pitches, bitches and near misses. You know the game.
Hope you’re enjoying something, anything! Great hearing from you. I hope I’ll have some time to get back to this.
See ya,
Chris
Hey Chris, it’s great to hear from you. I did go off on a tirade when Boston Rob was thrown off, albeit on Facebook. OMFG I was, and still am, PISSED. I could kill Russell with my bare hands. I hate him, and I don’t normally hate anyone, but for him I’ve made an exception.
Buck and I DVR the show for the same purpose as you, we run it back and absorb every nuance, every glance. I actually despise Parvarti, but I cannot wait until she fucks Russell over and sends him packing in shock. They’re gonna have to have that psychiatrist waiting for him at the bottom of the stairs, because he’s going to be a mess and I CANNOT WAIT! Hate that guy the first time around, and I hate him even more now.
I’m going to have to go check out the Rob screed. I know I’ll enjoy that. Terry was flipping out. It was a poor move on the teams part. But, like I said, they played status quo.
It looks like there will be a cleave in the king and queen’s relationship after this week. I thought she pulled off a good move. It moves her power, doesn’t allow him to take it back (which you know he would), proves he lies, and opens him up for an assault.
Like you, I can’t wait for his backtracking and whining.
I hope the next immunity challenge is having all your bottom teeth.
It was a very poor decision to vote Rob out, I can’t believe they didn’t see the value in keeping him. But then, some people in this season have made the stupidist moves ever…take JT for example. He was so stupid, I was actually quite pleased to see his shock at being double crossed by Russell.
Yeah, next week ought to be really good with Russell scrurrying around like a rodent trying to get rid of Parvarti, who is just a viper. He’s in trouble now. 🙂
I was laughing last week when he proposed such an idiotic move. I couldn’t wait for it to come to fruition. Not too many people get to sign their on death notice. Then to go out with something even stupider like, “That’s why you should never trust a villain.”
Didn’t you ever see Dudley Do-right? Dah!
Then to top it with, “And women! Never trust a woman!”
All you can do is laugh.
‘Cause that boy ain’t never gonna get laid again!
I know! “And never trust women.” What an idiot! I kept wondering if he could stand to watch last night’s episode.
